On Tuesday 12th January 2010, an earthquake in Haiti (South America) caused devastation to thousands of lives. Even though they are still pulling people out of the rubble 2 weeks later, more than 200,000 people are assumed to already be dead. Hayes School decided we needed to do something to help. In one week, Hayes School raised a total of £1,852.25 and there still might be more to come! Haiti was also the Year 9 charity and out of the whole total, they raised £600 by
doing various money raising events including sponsored netball between the forms and hopping through the musicals.
