As part of the Work Related Learning curriculum Year 10 students had the opportunity of participating in a “Learn to Earn” activity-based programme in preparing them for their future working life. The day was designed to give students an understanding of how the importance of learning together with the significance of a successful education will help them to better succeed in their future lives.
It was a fun packed day with “hands-on” activities where students had the opportunity to explore and identify their aptitudes, abilities and things they enjoy doing and begin to match these with potential future careers. It also gave them an understanding of the type of skills, knowledge and experience required to meet their future goals.
This was a very successful and valuable day with a positive learning experience which should help students with career choices in the future. Thanks to Mr Hurst, Mr Preston and the Year 10 Form Tutors for their support during the day.
