Excellence through Endeavour

This is our new school motto and one I think that sums up how much has been achieved by so many at Hayes this year. In all areas from the academic to the sporting, musical and dramatic to the personal and social it has been truly impressive to see the progress made and the excellent outcomes all achieved by incredible commitment and effort (endeavour!)

I hope all students can look back on 2008/9 with a real sense of achievement and those with imminent GCSE, AS and A level results can look forward with confidence to well deserved exam success. Not everyone can be excellent at everything, but with endeavour we all can improve and possibly achieve excellence – without endeavour we are condemned to underachievement, mediocrity and disappointment whether this is in Golf or Maths!

Thank you to all the students who have made Hayes such a great school to teach at, to the parents for your fantastic support of your children and the school and to the staff (teaching and associate) for their commitment, skill and care.

I wish everyone a safe and very happy summer and good luck for the exams!
