World Challenge Trip to Buxton

During the Easter holidays we, a group of Sixth Form adventurers, bravedthe elements and the rugged landscape of the Peak District. Exercises inleadership skills, trekking, cooking, budgeting, environmental care andemergency procedures were all performed in preparation for our WorldChallenge expedition to Kenya in the summer. There were not any maneatinglions, but the cooking and camping in bad weather was certainlyenough of a challenge! The trip gave us an insight into how we will have to work together as ateam in Kenya, and also it showed us some of the skills we will have tomaster. It was difficult at times, but a lot of fun, and now we are lookingforward to Kenya even more.
