On 27th February the Year 9 School Council reps were invited to the Churchill Theatre to take part in the Bromley Youth Conference. This meant all the other schools in Bromley took part. The day started at 9:15 when all the schools were divided into groups. There were 3 workshops, alcohol & drugs, knife crime and road safety. It was very enjoyable as they interpreted drama, music and dance into the workshops. At the end of the day we had a question time we could
ask anything to a panel of councillors and police officers. Questions were asked about:
• Stop and search
• Bus drivers in Bromley/oyster cards
• What is being done about crime
• Plans for Bromley
The day was a success and the questions were very helpful as it was a chance for the youth of Bromley to have a say. It was a good learning experience. Thanks to Miss Harrison and Mr Loomes for taking us.
